Yesterday was the full day excursion and it was excursion to London which everybody was looking forward to! It took us about 2 hours to get to the city, but we were in good spirits because of exciting expectations!
When we came to London at first we were going to two different kinds of museums, we had to choose one where to go before.
So it was The Victoria and Albert Museum abbreviated as the V&A, is the world's largest museum of decorative arts and design, housing a permanent collection of over 4.5 million objects. It was founded in 1852 and named after Queen Victoria and Prince Albert or The Science Museum is one of the three major museums on Exhibition Road, South Kensington, London now holds a collection of over 300,000 items, including such famous items as Stephenson's Rocket, Puffing Billy (the oldest surviving steam locomotive), the first jet engine. It also contains hundreds of interactive exhibits. A recent addition is the IMAX 3D Cinema showing science and nature documentaries and the Welcome Wing which focuses on digital technology. There were lots of interesting and educational exhibits. But unfortunately we didn’t have enough time to explore each of them properly.
Then we walked on foot across the bridge over river Thames and farther we passed Palace of Westminster, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square, Nelson’s Column and others places of interest.
After that we had two hours of shopping in Covent Garden. We bought a lot of things such as clothes, food, souvenirs for our relatives and friends, etc.
At the end of the day we were exhausted but happy because it was unforgettable to have chance to visit such beautiful and wonderful city with historical and cultural meaning!
